SMTA MissionOur mission is to work with and represent Southern Minnesota counties, their communities, and tourism businesses to promote tourism in Southern Minnesota, thereby enhancing economic impact and the quality of life for residents and visitors. We also provide professional enrichment, peer support, and networking opportunities through quarterly meetings. Our organization is a 501C6 organization. We get our funding through a $.05 per capita funding request from our 36 member counties, as well as from grants. |
What We DoRegional Tourism Promotion We market Southern Minnesota as a travel destination through digital marketing, partnerships, visitor resources, and collaborative initiatives. Support Local Communities We work alongside destination marketing organizations, chambers of commerce, attractions, and tourism businesses to increase visitor awareness and economic impact.
